The death toll continues to rise following a series of Indian missile attacks and shelling in Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab, with at least 24 people martyred and 61 others injured in the past 24 hours.

The attacks have heightened tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbours, who remain locked in a volatile stand-off along the Line of Control (LoC).

Casualties in Bahawalpur

In the Bahawalpur district of Punjab, a missile strike carried out by Indian forces resulted in the tragic deaths of 13 civilians, including 7 women, 4 men, and 2 children.

The attack, which targeted a residential area, also left 36 others injured, many of whom are undergoing treatment at Bahawal Victoria Hospital.
